Just hours after landing in Hong Kong, a group of Liverpool’s travelling party took time out of their first day to visit the Duchess of Kent Children’s Hospital.

14 members of the squad spent time with the young patients, taking photographs and signing autographs.

Divock Origi said: “For me it’s special and very emotional. For the short time that you are here you have a bond with the children and to come here and to be able to support them is very nice and as a club it represents the values we want to show.”

Dejan Lovren added: “It’s the least we can do. They get to see their idols and you realise yourself that the most important thing in life is your health.”

Our photographer was with the Reds as they made their way around the wards – and you can see their visit in our gallery below.
