Tottenham Hotspur’s Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen has struck home plenty of long-range efforts.
His low left-foot curler, which opened the scoring against Southampton was the 13 such goal in his Spurs career – and this total is the most of any player in the English top-flight since his arrival on these shores from Ajax in August 2013.
It’s quickly becoming a trademark, especially as he develops a knuckleball technique, which helped him score in the League Cup against Gillingham.
A haul of 13 is pretty good in just four campaigns, but he still has a few more to bag before he becomes one of the best in Premier League history.
